Phases and Such Concepts

Perhaps we can start with Mister Dictionary.

As a noun, it is one of many ways of referring to a distinct period or stage in a series of events or a process of change or development.

As a verb, it is to carry out some activity in gradual stages. In physics, it means to adjust the phase of something, especially so as to synchronize it with something else.

Dictionary then becomes Thesaurus and recites a long list of synonyms:

stage, period, chapter, episode, part, step, point, time, juncture, aspect, shape, form, appearance, state, condition....

These just begin the list.

My attempt will be to confound, to use as many of these words as I can without recourse to a shoe-horn; to submerge the 'phase' word back into a blissful (w)hole.

Many versions of this history are out there. This is my stripped-down version.

Pauls learned in osteopathy school about this non-force way of correcting subluxations in joints just by finding and holding a position in which is achieved the greatest level of comfort. In Orhto-Bionomy this is known as the preferred position. This presentation in school chanced to fall into phase with Arthur's own path of inquiry (happened to be keen on Judo, teacher). Positional release ticked his fancy and the two fancy-danced away. It was a dervish dance on an ecstatic floor, turning a tarantella or a tango of Mystery and Reveal. All his study and research re-rounded as a dream where he appeard to self skillfully disguised and prophesied to himself. I guise of an "Ascended Master," so he convinced himself. We know this trick well. It's how we justify a dastard act as good intentioned and how we assure ourselves that our memories are not the story of What Happened, but on the same wispy scale the dream is found on. Disguised is the only way we would pay heed to this obvious mountebank; we trick ourseves into attending to the murmerings or our own inner elder. The story that is told in this dervish dance, the Truth that is revealed happens to be clear to anyone who carefully and respectfully look, that nothing exists but in relationship.

I now want to digress into a brief study of the number seven. This would be so as to give sense and context to the fact that Pauls began his process of naming and retrospectively segmenting his autobiographical history beginning with 7. He gave a meaning marker to that point of time when he had his dream He saw that significant events has led up to it, enabled it. He named it Phase 7. I may not digress even though the Seven Catastrophes of Catastrophe Theory are hard to resist. Wander around Wikipedia a bit, in number theory, Mythologies, numerology and undertand that the number seven symbolizes mysticism.

The Value of the Phases

Curious how time passes. Almost two years ago I started this, wrote those words, "The Value of the Phases." I am assuming I was beginning to mean then what I am more fully meaning now. 

As an organism, I need to eat. The body needs to be fed. Food is ingested, digested, and metabolized (transformed into me). We could say this process of fueling has several phases. We can somewhat arbitrarily begin with the procuring and preparing of food. This phase may include rituals. Next is the eating phase and it could include looking at and smelling the food. Again, rituals may be included; optional to the needs of living but 'feeding' other Phases of the body.
