Unhealed trauma acts like a rock thrown into a pond; it causes ripples that move outward, affecting many other bodies over time. After months or years, unhealed trauma can appear to become part of someone's personality. Over even longer periods of time, it gets passed on and gets componded through other bodies in a household, it can become a family norm. And if it gets transmitted and compounded through multiple families and generations, it can start to look like culture.
RESMAA MENAKEM, My Grandmother's Hands
We play in the Zone of Repair. Another name for the Zone of Contact. Transition Zones. This is a Zone of the most fluid tissue. In Ortho-Bionomy terms, we are suffused with Phase 6, in all our tiniest spaces. Transition Zones are the most vulnerable in your body's range through the world.
Gods are welcome to join in. Totems, personal Juju, your own connection to your Sacred are respectfully invited. You may meet some new ones along your path here. We will co-create the Field we play in.
Tricks and Tools of Ortho-Bionomy will be taught and applied. Typically these tools are used by therapists to help another body find its own personal, correct alignment and relationship. But we will use them more as Asanas, doorways through which you let Your Body finds what works best for all of you. This is where you repair the damages.
Movement is always bidirectional. When this is grasped a "no" put out there is simultaneiously a "yes" in the opposite direction. We recalibrate our balance of 'Holding On' to 'Letting Go.'
Our Vision is for Ongoing Actions, the continuing on of Life. We look for how we thrive in this Time Between Stories, of things seeming to fall apart. Change to quick we can't know what to do.
Our Vison is to let Life inform us what she wants as much as tell her what we need.
Our Vision is for moment by moment living in Continuous Repair. And this is how a 'healing session' is done as well. At the interplay of inner and outer.
