Volery 'Syndrome'

22 Feb 2023

I'm just coming out of a 'session' (I the presumptive "doer") during which volery showed up and played a key rôle. Good time to write about it fresh in my experience.

[there was a thought id wanted to capture too having to do with some register of the body, had to do with flavor(?)]

Volery was the last Reflex I learned from Pauls before he went away and stayed longtime in France. He claimed a premonition that if he returned again to North America he'd die.Self-fulfilling prophecy? He did die when he did. The last two I know only from reading his opaque account in P&H and from interpreters at least twice removed (considerable hermeneutic distortion/transformation). I've seen a presentation of Volery, by an 'advanced' instructor that bore no resemblance to what I'd been directly taught. Just like in the "telephone (gossip) game. I can report how it goes in me.

The person on the table is three-and-a-half months out from a hip replacement. C/O pelvic restriction around that side and sacrum too. Started out by 'doing' what I think of as manual Phase Seven.

Changing the Conversation

I was born. I am always a vessel for something other than myself. The self is only a

vehicle for Foreign matter which comes from elsewhere and is destined to go on

elsewhere without me, whether it's words, smells, vision                                                      ––EMANUELE COCCIA  Metamorphoses

The Story Teller

Now, more than ever . . . our place in the universe and the place of the universe in us, is proving to be one of active relationship. That is more than a scientist's credo. The separateness of our lives is a sham. Physics, mathematics, music, painting, my love for you, my work, the star-dust of my body, the spirit that impels it, my politics,  clocks diurnal, time perpetual, the roll, rough, tender, swamping, liberating, breathing, moving, thinking nature, human nature and the cosmos are patterned together.

There is love

There is joy.
