[Most of these writings are very much the thinking aloud. We are in an inchoative mood, meaning things are always in process, always in some phase of beginning. Comments about the process, second thoughts, contexts of the thinking, will be in square brackets and italic script––as is this paragraph. I suppose I could call it metatext. What we call thinking occurs in phases and feels to be in continuous upwelling. Thus the verb think is always an inchoative verb, the -ing is tautologic.]

Conversations with Orthobionomers

 Ethics and Emotional Issues

in a Healing World

[Hours can be applied as credit toward Ortho-Binoomy® Training Programs upon approval.]

But first a musical pause. Listen to this song from 1930 that speaks to our time now. Rogers and Hart, A Ship Without a Sail.

Whatever your practice of care the Ethics of Care includes improving your process of care.

What is the target of your care? Care of Self is the ground; Care of Self is the same as Care of Other.

Covid-19 is a social virus. In Ortho-Bionomy terms, this means it invades and infects in phase 6 (just to give it a name; six is a nominal number here)of the body. It is in this domain it first infects and it is in 'phase 6' is found the greater damage.

[Heraclitis is intruding in my mind. Some Fanny Mendelssohn piano trio on the radio in the background. Behind that, from the next room, zoomba Latin beats. Just in case you were wondering <<wink>>.

To be in conversation can change you; it has a follow-on of healing.

Conversation is considered to be non-rhetorical. No one is trying to change anyone.

Discussion/conversation is a hybrid. The “feel” of Conversation but attached to an agenda. This is a common teaching method.

Does teaching have an interest in some other changing in some defined way? Learning objectives are typically stated in the form: after this, you will (be able to) do that. It comes close to being informed consent.

We have a box and things boxed, contained. Now we can count the uncountable. Now there can be accountability.

Ethics is how we try to keep the rhetoric ‘pure’ and minimal. Ethics is like a sculptor. Ethical decisions are aesthetic decisions.

There is a risk when the playfield is virtual, when we can't be making physical contact, can't intervene in that way if intervention becomes necessary.

Reactions can't be predicted.

Changing the Conversation

I was born. I am always a vessel for something other than myself. The self is only a

vehicle for Foreign matter which comes from elsewhere and is destined to go on

elsewhere without me, whether it's words, smells, vision                                                      ––EMANUELE COCCIA  Metamorphoses

The Story Teller

Now, more than ever . . . our place in the universe and the place of the universe in us, is proving to be one of active relationship. That is more than a scientist's credo. The separateness of our lives is a sham. Physics, mathematics, music, painting, my love for you, my work, the star-dust of my body, the spirit that impels it, my politics,  clocks diurnal, time perpetual, the roll, rough, tender, swamping, liberating, breathing, moving, thinking nature, human nature and the cosmos are patterned together.

There is love

There is joy.
